Permanency

• When families aren’t able to reunify Social Workers help to identify other permanency options (guardianship, adoptions, extended foster care).
• Recruit families to meet the permanency need of children in foster care.
• Identify relative care providers who can become legal guardians.
• Locate extended relatives and natural supports who can build a lifelong team around the youth and family.
• Provide training and support to families going through adoption.
